Need dinner ideas that offer twice the value and deliciousness? This recipe not only delivers succulent sauteed garlic shrimp but also caters to varying taste preferences by pairing equally well with white rice, crusty bread, or capellini with tomatoes and capers.

Firstly, get the following ingredients together:

For the Sauteed Garlic Shrimp you will need: 1/2 cup of extra-virgin olive oil, 4 thinly sliced garlic cloves, 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper, 3 pounds of large shrimp (shelled and deveined), Kosher salt, freshly ground pepper, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter,

For the Capellini with Shrimp, Capers, and Tomatoes you will need: 3/4 pound of capellini, 2 small coarsely chopped tomatoes, 1 1/2 tablespoons of drained capers, and Kosher salt along with freshly ground pepper.

Start the cooking process by heating the olive oil in a very large skillet. Add garlic and lightly saute until it turns a light golden hue, which should take about 2 minutes. Then, add the crushed red pepper and let it cook for a supplementary 30 seconds.

Now, add shrimp to the skillet. Stir occasionally and let it cook until it’s white throughout, which is about 4 minutes. Season your cooked shrimp with salt and pepper, then add lemon juice and butter. Cook at low heat until butter melts and the sauce richly coats the shrimp.

Remember, this recipe is all about increasing your kitchen efficiency. So, reserve half of the shrimp and sauce for the pasta, which can be stored for a future meal.

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil, add the capellini and cook until it's al dente. Drain the pasta, making sure to keep 1 cup of the pasta cooking water. Transfer capellini back to the pot. Mix in the earlier prepared shrimp with its juices, freshly chopped tomatoes, capers, and the reserved pasta water. Toss this delightful mixture on low heat until shrimp is heated again and pasta is smoothly coated. Finally, season with salt and pepper and you're ready to serve!

You now have two delightful dinner varieties from one efficient cooking session. Bon appétit!
