Sweetgreen Rolls Out Michelin-Starred Menu
- Aug 13, 2025
Fast-casual salad chain, Sweetgreen, has earned its reputation for gourmet menu collaborations with widely renowned chefs such as David Chang, Dan Barber, and Nancy Silverton. Always crafting unique limited-time offerings to delight both new and loyal patrons, Sweetgreen's latest partnership has the potential to be their most riveting one to date.
On Tuesday, May 13, Sweetgreen will debut its first-ever Korean-themed menu, crafted alongside Cote, the USA's only Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse. Explaining what makes Korean barbecues so unique and appealing, Nicholas Jammet, Sweetgreen's co-founder and chief concept officer, noted: "Korean barbecue is all about connection - sharing food, stories, and moments around the table. That spirit of community is something we deeply value at Sweetgreen, and it’s what makes this collaboration with our friends at Cote so exciting.”
Cote solidly holds its position as one of the world’s top steakhouses, with its exceptional ability to meld American steakhouse traditions with Korean barbecue. Although Cote has locations in New York City, Miami, and Singapore, and a soon-to-open venue in Las Vegas, nabbing a reservation can be quite a feat. Therefore, this Sweetgreen limited-time menu might be many food enthusiasts' golden ticket to exploring the acclaimed flavors of Cote - without breaking the bank.
The star-studded menu features the KBBQ Steak Bowl, where juicy steak meets spicy roasted broccoli, cucumber kimchi, pickled cabbage, and piquant apple kimchi sauce over a bed of warm white rice and romaine lettuce. Conversely, the KBBQ Steak Plate, hailed by Sweetgreen as a bold lunch or comforting dinner option, mirrors its bowl counterpart, sans the lettuce. Vegetarians also get to join in on the culinary adventure with the Cucumber Kimchi Crunch Salad, a delectable medley of romaine and spring lettuce, roasted sweet potato, cucumber kimchi, spicy broccoli, KBBQ glaze, apple kimchi sauce, pickled cabbage, and irresistible crispy onions.
This exclusive Cote-inspired menu will be available at Sweetgreen outposts from Tuesday and will run for a limited period. However, if you are an SG Rewards member, an advantage awaits you - an early taste test is accessible on Monday, May 12, by placing your order online or via the Sweetgreen app. This collaboration might just put a Michelin-grade lunch within your reach.
