The annual survey distinguished 25 winners in eight different categories such as Fine Dining, Casual Dining, Date Night, Pet-Friendly, and Vegan & Vegetarian. Ratings were primarily based on reviews from travelers during 2024, evaluating factors like the restaurant's offerings and overall dining experience.

The list of 25 top locations for casual dining features culinary gems from across the globe, including Canada, Hungary, Mexico, Thailand, and Turkey, with numerous European establishments being big winners.

First place was ceremoniously captured by Pizzeria Arrivederci, a dining hub in Paris beloved by locals and tourists alike. The cozy eatery, located near the Luxembourg Garden, has impressively scooped up a near-perfect score of 4.9 stars from around 5,200 reviews. TripAdvisor champions this establishment for its superior Italian cuisine, warmth, and attention to customers. Clearly, quality service goes a long way in securing rave reviews.

Number two in the ranking is Cabo San Lucas's Metate Cabo in Mexico, lauded for its top-tier cocktail program and a clear emphasis on fresh, farm-to-table ingredients. Meanwhile, a well-adored family-owned seafood destination, Gascona in Seville, Spain, is positioned at number three, loved by both local patrons and international travelers.

Out of all 25 restaurants that achieved top status for casual dining, only two are located within the United States. These include Osteria Positano in Miami, famous for its Italian dishes, and The Republic Grille in Magnolia, Texas, offering quintessential Southern fare.

Winners within the 'Traveler's Choice Awards' are under two main distinctions: the 'Best of the Best' and simple 'Traveler’s Choice'. The restaurants listed as the 'Best of the Best' are the top 1% of all restaurant listings on TripAdvisor. It is calculated based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews. This is contrasted with 'Traveler’s Choice' honorees, recognized for consistent top reviews, which are within the top 10% of eateries listed on the platform.

The renowned travel service consulted approximately 8 million global entries to identify its 'Best of the Best' winners for casual dining and more.

To honor its 25 year anniversary, TripAdvisor pulled together a special list based on reviews collected throughout its entire history. The ultimate honor was awarded to Bodegas Mezquita Céspedes in Cordoba, Spain, which has gathered more than 13,000 phenomenal reviews since its inception.
